If you have not heard by now, Eminem is set to return to the big screen soon. He has been picked to play a boxer in the new film Southpaw. According to moviefone.com, the movie has an unfinished script but has already been picked up by DreamWorks. The director, Kurt Sutter, felt that Em could relate the struggles of the boxer to his own struggles in the past few years. Peep what Kurt had to say about Em's relation to the character:
"At its core, this is a retelling of his struggles over the last five years of his life, using the boxing analogy. I love that the title refers to Marshall being a lefty, which is to boxing what a white rapper is to hip hop; dangerous, unwanted and completely unorthodox. It's a much harder road for a southpaw than a right handed boxer."
This will be his first major role since in '8 Mile'. Em definitely played that part well. How do you think he will do with this role?
