Gold Rope Chains...Don't Forget The Rings

Don't you worry, I didn't forget about the male emcees. Males were on another level when it came to their jewelry. They had the heavy gold chains, also referred to as rope or dookie chains and the rings. Run DMC and Big Daddy Kane, among others, were the emcees who made the rope chains popular. Peep:

Slick Rick

To some, the bigger the chain and rings, the better, and the wealthier you looked but to Slick Rick it was all of that and then some.  He wore the most jewelry out of any emcees I have ever seen. The only person I can think of that wore more jewelry than him is Mr. T of the A-Team. 

There are a few emcees who are rocking this style these days, such as Nas and Nelly. However, most emcees care more about how long the chain is and how big their medallion is on the end. I prefer the rope chain or no chain. What do you prefer. Know anyone rocking the rope chain these days?
