SMH NEWS!!

Plies threatens to shoot his fans; Waka Flocka's momager to debut female hip hop trio 'June 5th'; Audience walks out on Lauryn Hill; Luke for Mayor?; Reggae artist bleaches his skin; Waka Flocka & Gucci Mane reality show?...

Let's see...where do I begin? Oh yes, Plies. So, while Plies was performing at a club in Orlando, Florida, someone threw a cup at him so he in turn threatened to shoot his fans stating:
"I swear to God, next [person] to throw something up here, I'ma shoot this bitch up in here right now!" growled the rapper, who was caught on video. "Next bitch that throw something up here, they gon' get it, bro."
I admit, it is very disrespectful to throw something at somebody but threatening to shoot them for throwing a cup at you...SMH. You are seriously messed up if you are willing to injure/kill somebody over a cup. He will be on the next episode of "When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong"...

They call themselves 'June 5th', I call them 'The Female Waka Flockas'. The group was signed by Debra Antney (Waka Flocka's mom) and her company Mizay Entertainment. Don't get me wrong, I am all for female emcees but you have to be good. Having good looks and sex appeal is the last thing that make you a great emcee. The ladies of June 5th, Tiffany Foxx, Scar Ladon, and Brooke Holladay, hail from St. Louis, Missouri:
“When we first came together we met because we were all in the business,” said group member Tiffany Fox. “Through conversation we realized a void in the industry for female rappers and decided to do something about it. So we joined forces on june5th and became the group June 5th.”
They hope to be as big as Nelly once was. Hmmm....I don't think so. That is just my opinion.

Their first single is called 'Dollaz'. The video is an ode to stripping and they are the ones doing the stripping. Way to represent ladies...NOT! I am not posting that hotmess.com on here...watch it on youtube, if you must.

If their rapping skills were on point than I would not be shaking my head right now. But they're not so...SMH.

When Lauryn Hill was four hours late for one of her concerts in NY, her fans became upset but they waited until she came out to perform. That was not the case this weekend at her show in Atlanta. Even though the fans stayed after she was already late, when she performed some of her 'classics' in different arrangements....not the original way the song was made. Fans began to leave the show. One stated:
“[Audience members] didn't walk out -- they stomped out!"
Damn...this is not good for Lauryn. This is affecting the ticket sales for her tour and it is not a good way to come back into the game. I will always be a fan but she has to do better. SMH

Uncle Luke for Mayor? Stop the madness! First he's coaching high school football, which I have no problem with, but now he wants to run for mayor. You might ask yourself why...I know I did. Apparently, there are some issues with the current mayor and Luke stated:
“If Carlos Alvarez gets recalled, I will seriously think about running for Miami-Dade County mayor.”
Trust me, I have no problem with rappers becoming politicians. Some rappers are more intellectual than others think, but him becoming mayor...I think not. SMH

I came across this next atrocity by mistake but thought it was a perfect addition to this. So without further ado...

Oh! My eyes!

This is a before and after of Reggae artist Vybz Kartel. He decided he wanted to bleach his skin one day and here are the results. What in the world would posses him to do such a thing? Here is what he had to say:
“This is my new image,” Kartel said. “You can expect the unexpected. I feel comfortable with black people lightening their skin. They want a different look. It’s tantamount to white people getting a sun tan."
What the what?! This is madness. People: DO NOT BLEACH YOUR SKIN! You are the color you are for a reason. Be proud of it! SMDH!

And last but not least, I use that loosely, Waka Flocka and Gucci Mane are currently shopping around a reality show about their lives; personal and professional. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I do not want to see what a day in the life of these two consists of...for what?! Here's what Gucci had to say about the show:
"We show everyday life. What we get into in studio and at our shows. We just ordinary people with a crazy rock and roll lifestyle," Gucci Mane told RumorFix. "Because of the music we make, people think that's what we do all the time — but we got a real family life. We got heart. We do a lot of things for the community and we love each other… I think they'll get a laugh more than anything. I'm not serious all the time. People think we are thugs because of our music."
Personally, I do not see either of them as thugs...do you? They are not what I consider 'gangster rap', in any way. The possibility of losing brain cells is not appealing to me. I hope TV stations are smart enough to know that this is not something you should put money into. Unfortunately, I have my doubts. First, we had Flavor of Love and now this...SMDH!!!

I am done...my head hurts O_O
