The woman I am associating with has covered her feet with items purchased from a retail chain that is known for emphasizing value over excess and, in contrast, I am wearing much more expensive foot coverings made from the skin of a reptile native to the southeastern United States.  Although this doesn't necessarily prevent me from associating with her, it is indicative of our different positions on an economic scale.
