The X Label: Preserving Guru's Legacy

A tribute to a great emcee is never done. Guru will now be able to live on even better with the new t-shirts that were recently released. Here's the story via hiphopdx.com:

Next month will mark the one year anniversary of Gang Starr/Jazzmatazz emcee Keith "Guru" Elam. The man who wrote such classics as "Words I Manifest," "Mass Appeal" and "Full Clip" will not only see unreleased music come through longtime partner DJ Premier, but now has his legacy preserved through clothing.

A family member of Guru contacted HipHopDX to announce the family has partnered with clothing line The X Label to release several shirts paying tribute to the emcee. One of the two presently-released tees is pictured. Another black t-shirt lists the various stage names Guru used in his nearly 25-year emcee career, from MC Keithy E to Ill Kid, which he would name a label after. Proceeds from sales will go to Guru's son, K.C.

The shirts can be purchased here. Get them while they're hot!!!
