So Live Saturday: Lecrae (Rock and Worship Roadshow-Las Cruces, NM)
Last Sunday, I skipped the Grammys and went to the Rock and Worship Tour stop in Las Cruces, NM instead. I found out about the concert 2 days prior and wasn't sure if I'd be able to make it (especially since I was on call for work). I took the risk and went anyway. I was particularly interested in seeing Lecrae and he did not disappoint at all. Besides getting used to the fact that fans of the show kept referring to him as "the Black guy" (which is a whole other story in itself), I had a blast. I enjoyed all of the acts and was impressed with the shows multiple diverse groups of artists, from hard rock to hip hop. You really can't go wrong with $10 tickets. The tour still has some stops remaining (http://therockandworshiproadshow.com/) and I definitely suggest you go check it out. If for some reason you can't make it, remember that MURS has added Lecrae on his roster for the Paid Dues Music Festival, as well! Hip Hop ChicZ will be there and you should too! Get familiar with Lecrae. He's a talented artist and makes meaningful hip hop music that is enjoyed by the masses, as you can see in the video below. I caught him performing one of my favorites called "God is Enough." He brings amazing energy to the stage. I only recorded one song because I was too busy dancing and bobbing my head the rest of the time. He even had me doing the dougie. Yep...that happened. :-) Anyway, enjoy the footage and check out Lecrae when he comes to a city near you.
