ChicZ Biographies

The idea of Hip Hop ChicZ started as a joke while waiting in line to see J.Cole perform in Tempe, AZ on 11/19/10.  Noticing that real women are often under-represented in the hip hop world, the idea came about as a means to show that we have a place here too.  We listen to hip hop, buy albums, wait in line for 4 hours before a show, rock out in the front row and we have valuable input and opinions.  Not every chic at a hip hop show is a groupie trying to get in the pants of the artists.  Some of us just want to show our love and appreciation for real hip hop and get our poster or album signed to hang in the "hip-hop" room of our house. :-) And we know ya'll have seen the females in the front that know every bar and are singing along all loud in your ear.  Yep, "we in this" too!  So Hip Hop ChicZ is just a blog by 3 opinionated women who love hip hop and get excited about the music.  Why the Z you might ask?  We are also all members of the greatest and most sophisticated, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.  Z-Phi!  We hope you enjoy what you see and read.  Comments are always welcome.  Remember, our blog is for everyone...just remember the source...The ChicZ!
